Humanlytic places the entered unweighted GPA into ACT’s published 2011 GPA bucket and sums only complete lower buckets. It reports the resulting cumulative percentile range without assuming a normal or uniform distribution inside the bucket.

Limitations
The percentile range uses ACT’s published grouped GPA distribution; NCES HSTS is the federal authority for national transcript-based GPA context. Grading systems and course difficulty vary between schools, so this is an estimate on an unweighted 4.0 scale.
