Date Nights per Month Percentile Calculator

See how your date nights per month compares with a relevant reference population.

Published grouped distribution

Count intentional couple time planned primarily for the romantic partners—not ordinary co-presence, errands, work, or sleep.

Methodology / Source

National Marriage Project — 2023 Date Night Opportunity

The Fall 2022 State of Our Unions survey, conducted by YouGov, included 2,000 married heterosexual U.S. adults ages 18–55. It reports 52% with date nights never or a few times yearly and 48% monthly or more. “Date night” here means intentional couple time—not routine co-presence, errands, work, or sleep.

About this calculator

What this calculator measures

See how your date nights per month compares with a relevant reference population. The comparison uses the reference population and evidence identified on this page.

How to interpret your result

A percentile describes the approximate percentage of the stated reference population with a lower value. When a source supports only categories, medians, or averages, Humanlytic shows that broader comparison instead of inventing an exact percentile.

Methodology

How this works

Evidence quality

Calculated from survey data

Method

Humanlytic maps zero and monthly-or-more values to the two reported survey groups. Because the source does not separate individual monthly frequencies, it returns a broad cumulative range; sub-monthly positive values receive a category comparison without a numerical percentile.

Limitations

The survey reports only two broad frequency groups: never/a few times yearly and one or two times monthly or more. Values within a group cannot be ranked, and sub-monthly values between the descriptions receive no numerical percentile.
