The 2008 sample included 1,294 unmarried adults ages 18–35 in serious, exclusive opposite-sex relationships of at least two months. Published duration anchors are P25 10.5 months, median 24 months, and P75 48 months. No interpolation or tail extrapolation is used.

Humanlytic converts years and months to total months and compares the result with the study’s three published duration quantiles: 10.5 months at the 25th percentile, 24 months at the median, and 48 months at the 75th percentile. Exact anchors and conservative quartile ranges are reported; tails are not extrapolated.
